November at FGAC w Bienestar

Dear Tim, Denise, Cassy, Capone, Milka, Sharlyne, Keily, Jimmy, Annalena, Mario, Anders, Dan, Karis, and Alisa, 

THANK YOU!! I don’t think I’ve ever observed so much joy in the water. Sunday’s program brought back 20+ Bienestar families to Forest Grove Aquatics Center and added a few new families. Thank you Milka and Itzel for your absolutely wonderful recruitments! We also welcomed back a few new volunteer instructors — so great to see Sharlyne, Keily and Jimmy again!  And lots of new volunteer instructors in the water — well, hello! Denise, Diane, Jimmy, Annalena, Mario, Milka and Anders! And a few seasoned Team WaterStrong instructors new to FGAC - hooray Karis, Alisa and Dan! 

Cassy stole the show demonstrating her “how to have raucous fun and save lives doing it” moves. Tim brought wisdom and mentorship to the next generation of Team WaterStrong, leading us to create a new “see one, do one, teach one” policy: new volunteer instructors partner up with experienced instructors for their first Eco-Swim event. Diane, Milka, Denise and Jimmy waited patiently on deck in October and boldly jumped in with the swimmers on Sunday. And the Eckton family delivered in full form: Dan, Anders, Annalena and Mario fearlessly joined the fray, ready to lend a hand or a leg or an arm or a smile at every turn.

Thank you thank you thank you.  It is a total joy to observe you in action.
