What is an Eco-Swim Clinic?

An Eco-Swim Clinic introduces participants to the WaterStrong Method curriculum. Each clinic is a highly interactive in-person workshop held on location at a pool, river, lake, or ocean. Participants learn basic principles in water stewardship through beach and neighborhood cleanups and classroom activities with lessons in environmental education, followed by basic principles in water safety through exercises in lifejacket use, site safety assessments, self-assists, reach assists, throw assists, and survival swimming. Eco-Swim clinics are taught by experienced volunteer instructors and run approximately 3-4 hours.

There are no prerequisites, and the cost is free.

All WaterStrong programs are intended for underserved individuals and their families who otherwise would not have access to swimming lessons, water safety training or environmental education.
